Arranging Garden Flowers:
An Online Class

Learn the techniques and design considerations necessary to make gorgeous, seasonal and lively arrangements with flowers from your garden, a farmers market, or anywhere else you like to get flowers.

For years people have been asking for an online course, and here it finally is! We've taken the curriculum from our beginning and intermediate design classes and translated it to a video format so that you can join us in learning to arrange flowers from wherever you may be located. This course teaches you how to arrange flowers in Botanique's signature style, covering everything from tools to basic techniques to in-depth guidance into flower palette selection and step-by-step guidance on the entire design process from start to finish. The goal of this class is to foster your creativity while also providing a structure for you to work within so that you can confidently arrange flowers. Taught by Kelly Sullivan, Botanique's Founder, Lead Designer and Creative Director, this is an excellent guide to thinking about design considerations like color, movement, texture, and materials selection, as well as a primer on thinking through the different floral elements necessary for an arrangement. This class is geared towards beginning and intermediate level designers, but advanced designers will also find inspiration and new ways to think through process and palette in this course.

WHAT IS INCLUDED?

  • Two pre-recorded videos that walk you through the basic techniques you need to know to successfully create arrangements, and the full design process we go through to create an arrangement in a straight-sided vase. Video content totals 1 hour of material.

  • A beautiful, five-page PDF Course Accompaniment that reinforces the information in the videos, with a list of flowers used in the video demonstration and potential substitutions, as well as our step-by-step design process laid out in an easy-to-follow format

  • In-depth information about palette selection including design considerations of color, texture and movement

  • Discussion of the "flower categories" necessary to create an arrangement so you can confidently select materials to create arrangements that are cohesive and beautiful

  • Immediate, lifetime access to the course from the moment of purchase!

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?

This course is geared towards beginning and intermediate level designers, gardeners who want to learn how to create arrangements with the flowers they grow, people who love flowers but don't feel confident in arranging them, and anyone who is interested in learning both basic design techniques and the design process we use to create arrangements! Though this course does not cover advanced design mechanics, experienced designers will also find inspiration and new ways to think through design process and palette in this course.

"Perfect Title- This is exactly what you'll be experiencing throughout the course. There is a wonderful PDF document to support Kelly's inspiring video of arranging garden flowers.  The important take away for me was when and if you get stuck, go back to reviewing and following a series of steps allowing the arrangement to pull itself together with ease."
