Behind the Scenes at a Romantic Corson Building Wedding
Abundant and romantic flowers in shades of cream, blush and burgundy, elegant and lush garlands weaving down long farm tables with candles glowing bright, an incredible menu of delicious and inspired seasonal cuisine, a building with old world charm and European flair, gorgeous autumn sunlight casting warmth and dappled light everywhere.... are we in a dream? Nope! We're at a romantic and elegant autumn wedding at the Corson Building in Seattle!
We have designed a handful of weddings at The Corson Building, and it remains a favorite place. Even without flowers, it is loaded with charm and an old-world, rustic elegance, but add in some thoughtfully-designed florals... pure magic! We had an opportunity to work at the Corson Building last September for the wedding of a wonderful couple, and our photographer friend Anna Peters came towards the end of our set-up to document our team putting the finishing touches on the designs- a beautiful, floral installation to frame out the doorway; long, flower filled garlands for the dining tables; whimsical blooms and accents for the cakes; elegant, fun and seasonal bouquets and boutonnieres... So much good went into this wedding!
September in Seattle is an amazing time for flowers, and we got to use some of our favorites in this wedding: dusty rose and blush hydrangea that look just like little butterflies (and came from our Cutting Garden!), bright white cosmos, sweet autumn clematis vines, cafe au lait dahlias, love in a puff, snowberry foliage, perfect blush-toned lisianthus.... the list goes on and on!
