A Romantic Summer Wedding with White Flowers at Lairmont Manor
This beautiful wedding at Lairmont Manor happened in early September, a time of year when summer flowers like dahlias, roses, and queen anne's lace are still in full bloom, but some of the best fall flowers like hydrangea, cosmos and clematis vine are also in season. These bridge moments between seasons are notoriously beautiful; they are times when you can feel the shift from one season into another, and the variety and beauty of the flowers is just so strong!
Working in a color palette of white, butter yellow, and soft peach, we created a gorgeous, garden feel around a fountain for the ceremony, with large, ceremony framing arrangements and a lush floral aisle, plus modern and sculptural centerpieces for the reception, romantic vines framing the reception tent, and so much more!
I met Qi and Fengtao before Covid (seems so long ago now!), and it was one of those meetings where things just click. We started working together to plan the flowers for their wedding later that summer and then... BOOM. Everything shut down. And the wedding was postponed. And then... they had a baby! And of course the wedding was postponed again! And then... over two years after their original wedding date, they were finally able to have their celebration, with their beautiful daughter alongside them. After working together for over two years, through all the Covid changes we all experienced, it was really special to see everything come to fruition for their wedding. It doesn't always happen that clients become friends (and it's certainly not a requirement!) but when it happens organically, as it did with this couple, it adds a special layer. Thank you Qi and Fengtao for trusting us... and continuing to trust us... and continuing to trust us... for literally YEARS as we all waited for the right moment for your celebration. It was such an honor!
