A Minimal and Chic September Wedding at The Woodmark Hotel

Can modern, whimsical, minimal, garden-inspired and chic all work together? In this September wedding at the Woodmark Hotel in Kirkland, WA, we worked to blend these concepts together to create a unique ambiance for our couple. Nothing beats a well-chosen, minimal palette, and Siyu and Victor were very clear on what they wanted for their flowers: neutral, minimal, well-chosen, and different from the typical wedding flowers. They also wanted everything to feel organic, so it was a really interesting line to walk. It was late September, and for these designs we featured with many local flowers: acidantheria (also known as peacock lily), white tweedia, Japanese anemones, lisianthus, snowberry... these flowers created the base of the palette we worked with on this gorgeous, chic, September wedding. We also brought in some big trees for their reception tent to allude to the garden feel without going over-the-top gardeny with their flowers.

One other fun thing about this wedding- one of the bridesmaids got married a few years later, and we also got to do the flowers for her wedding, with the bride from this wedding as a bridesmaid! There is no bigger complement than when a client refers us to their friends. Still working to get caught up on blogging some of our pre-Covid weddings, so this one happened in the before times. It's fun to look back at it now, it feels like so long ago!
