A Romantic Summer Wedding at Robinswood House with Mauve, Lavender and Peach Florals
This wedding is such an awesome example of what can happen when we work fully out of the Cutting Garden. A + C trusted us fully with their designs, and left everything up to us in terms of flowers, colors, etc. When the week of their wedding arrived, I did what I always do: walk the garden with everything I know about the couple in mind, feeling into which flowers are calling to be part of their wedding. The Koko Loko roses, blue didiscus, Bracken Rose dahlias, phlox, hydrangea... they all called loudly. At the time, I didn't know the colors of the bridesmaid dresses, or that these flowers would be such a perfect match. And that is the magic of the garden right there, following the flowers, tuning into the people getting married and the garden and seeing what wants to emerge from a collaboration of energies. This may sound esoteric or "woo woo," but this is truly the way we work. A + C were so happy with their flowers, and sent me this email after their wedding:
"Kelly, the flowers were SO BEAUTIFUL!!! and exactly what we envisioned! I couldn’t stop looking at my bouquet! All of our guests were in LOVE with all of it and it fit our theme/palette so perfectly! And Bella’s floral collar was so beautiful, it made me cry! I have already re-purpose the altar pieces into small arrangements that are creating the most beautiful aroma in our house! We can’t thank you enough for your works of art!!!"

Thank you so much to this wonderful couple for trusting us, the flowers, and the process so fully!
